Bharti Airtel to offer private network solutions for global enterprise customers

Bharti Airtel has joined the AWS Partner Network (APN) and will deliver private network solutions for enterprise customers across the globe using Amazon Web Services (AWS). This will help Airtel’s enterprise customers across the globe leverage the power of AWS Direct Connect to establish a dedicated network connection between customers’ premises and Amazon’s data centers - thus helping them reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and experience a more consistent network connectivity.

txtWeb, a text-based app platform from Intuit in association with Bharti Airtel has announced the launch of a unique text-based app store for the masses in India. This app store enables Airtel users, across any mobile device, to get access to a plethora of information ranging from academic content, social networking, sports, breaking news, financial tools to games and more. The service will be available nationally at a minimal cost of 50 paise per SMS and also in packs of Re. 1 for 2 days, Rs. 7 for 15 days and Rs.15 for 30 days.  To get started, users have to simply SMS “HELLO” to 51115 to get the list of apps and start using them, without any hassle of downloading.

Airtel appoints Manish Prakash as Director - Enterprise & Government

Bharti Airtel announced the appointment of Manish Prakash as the Director for Enterprise & Government reporting into Gopal Vittal, Jt.MD & CEO (India), Bharti Airtel Limited.

In his role, Manish will be responsible for overall strategy and leadership for the company’s Business-to-business (B2B)in India. His focus will be to consolidate Airtel’s Enterprise and Government business, devise and execute growth strategies, lead product innovation and inject world-class process and service capabilities within the organization. He will also be a part of the Airtel Management Board (AMB).

Airtel brings e-Commerce platform - Shopify for SME customers

Bharti Airtel announced that it will offer Shopify, end to end e-commerce solutionto SOHO and SME customers by provisioning the service through its cloud platform.

Shopify, a hosted ecommerce platform is powered by Airtel’s internet products like DSL and ILP enables SOHO and small and medium enterprises to create an online store to manage their ecommerce presence with great ease. It offers customizable site templates, an integrated shopping cart, search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, inventory management and analytics.
