CA Tech Names by Working Mother One of 2017 Best Companies for Multicultural Women

CA Technologies has been named one of the 2017 Best Companies for Multicultural Women by Working Mother magazine—an honor that recognizes  U.S. companies that create and use best practices in hiring, retaining and promoting women of color. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the list, out today, which is featured in the June/July issue of Working Mother and posted on workingmother.com.
The Working Mother Research Institute has conducted the study since 2003, tracking corporations’ progress in promoting women of color and evaluating their representation at every level of management and decision-making.

CA Technologies Opens New Technology Center in Bangalore

CA Technologies announced the opening of CA Bangalore Technology Center, establishing a technology hub in India’s “Silicon Valley”. The new facility complements the CA India Technology Center in Hyderabad. The center plans to tap into the world-class talent base in Bangalore to further the development of differentiated, next generation solutions in emerging technologies.

The focus of the new center is on organic innovation in emerging technologies, including Mobility, Digital Payments, Big Data, Data Science/Advanced Analytics, DevOps and Security.

CA launches Security Solutions to Protect APIs, Mobile Apps and Cloud Services

CA Technologies announced new and updated identity-based solutions to help secure the increasing number of cloud, web and mobile applications operating in today’s open enterprise. 

The new mobility and API solutions announced today accelerate mobile app development, improve application performance and deliver security and user convenience from the client to the backend.

CA appoints Kenneth Arredondo as President and GM for Asia Pacific and Japan

CA Technologies announced the appointment of Kenneth Arredondo as the President & General Manager of Asia Pacific & Japan with effect from 1 April 2014. Lionel Lim, who has held this role since 2010, has decided to leave the company to pursue personal interests.
Arredondo will be responsible for the CA Technologies business in the region that includes Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. Arredondo’s charter will include strategic direction and management of all sales and business development across the region, driving growth and further strengthening the company's partner ecosystem. Arredondo and Lim will be working through March to ensure a smooth transition for customers, partners and employees.

CA Technologies launches New Release of CA Layer 7 API Portal

CA Technologies announced significant updates to the CA Layer 7 API Portal. The Portal allows enterprises to empower developers to build mobile, Web and other applications that support business goals to extend overall market reach and grow revenues.

“The new API Portal adds critical API grouping and package capabilities, and enables publishing directly from the API Portal using pre-defined policies that our customers can tailor to their needs,” said Dana Crane, senior product manager, CA Technologies. “With the API Portal, it is now simple for an organization to create a branded interface for developers, so they can access all the design time resources needed to quickly discover and understand an API, and then create an application and track its usage.”

Designed to securely support partner, third-party and internal developers across multiple groups simultaneously, this solution grants each unit its own set of access and API publishing privileges — all from a single portal.

CA Technologies has been positioned by Gartner in the Leaders quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for User Authentication* for the third straight time. CA AuthMinder™, CA RiskMinder™, the company’s on-premise strong authentication solutions, and CA CloudMinder™ Advanced Authentication, the authentication-as-a-service of CA CloudMinder, were evaluated for this report.

Gartner Research Vice President Ant Allan stated in the report, “By year-end 2016, about 30% of enterprises will choose cloud-based services as the delivery option for new or refreshed user authentication implementations - up from 10% today.”
