Amdocs has announced that Telefónica Argentina, the leading multi-play service provider in the country serving 27 million wireless, wireline and high-speed Internet customers, has selected Amdocs to manage a range of its business support systems (BSS) applications. The multi-year application management agreement covers key BSS areas including Amdocs billing and ordering solutions as well as interfaces to non-Amdocs legacy systems. This marks an expansion of Amdocs’ relationship with Telefónica Argentina for the previously-announced wireline and wireless transformation projects, which aim to provide a seamless experience across all customer interaction channels. Amdocs announced that Analysys Mason’s “Revenue management systems: worldwide market shares 2013” report has named Amdocs the global market-share leader in the overall revenue management space for the seventh consecutive year. According to Analysys Mason, Amdocs is the only vendor with overall market-share leadership across all geographical regions, and estimates Amdocs’ market share at 26.5 percent, nearly three times that of the second-placed vendor (with 9.6 percent).
The revenue management market covered by Analysys Mason includes billing, mediation, partner and interconnect solutions, across systems and services. Within billing, the report highlights the growing demand for convergent charging solutions in all regions, with convergent platforms becoming a mandatory requirement in all new revenue management deployments, and the report names Amdocs market-share leader in this sub-segment as well.

Amdocs released new research into mobile traffic, showing an almost complete shift from voice to data. The research highlights the urgency for service providers to build and optimize mobile networks to assure network performance and quality, increasing customer satisfaction and creating new revenue opportunities.

The annual State of the Radio Access Network (RAN)1 white paper includes analysis of more than 4 million voice and data connections from more than 100,000 mobile devices at some of the busiest network locations around the world in the past twelve months. The radio access network provides wireless mobile connection for phones and tablets, using a combination of technologies, including small cells and macro cells, utilizing 3G, 4G (LTE) and Wi-Fi (for data).

At Mobile World Congress 2014, Amdocs announced the availability of Amdocs TeraScale, a carrier-grade, big data solution designed to cost-efficiently store, manage and extract real-time charging usage data for analytical use cases. The new solution leverages big data storage technologies based on the Hadoop ecosystem, and enables deeper, more rapid real-time analytics through innovative usage data modeling and embedded ETL (extract, transform and load) processes. Amdocs TeraScale is a new offering within the Amdocs CES 9.1 product suite.

Amdocs announced a number of customer wins for mobile network optimization capabilities resulting  from its recent acquisitions of Actixand Celcite.

These new deals, comprising of both new wins and expansions at existing customers include:
·        TIM Brasil to improve data traffic transmission across Brazil

·        TELUS (Canada) for 3G and LTE geo-location and radio access networks (RAN) consolidation into a single, unified solution that will enable TELUS to improve customer experience while realizing significant engineering efficiencies

Amdocs has announced that it was named theglobal market-share leader in the overall billing market by two leading analyst firms. Looking at all related revenue management systems and services, Analysys Mason1 estimates Amdocs’ market share at 23.4 percent, more than twice the percentage of the vendor that ranked second,while Frost & Sullivan's Stratecast2credits Amdocs with an 18 percent market share. This is the sixth consecutive year Amdocs was named global market leader by both analyst firms.

Amdocs announced that two analyst firmshave separately reported Amdocs as the leading services vendor in the global telecom testing market.TechNavio1and NelsonHall2estimate Amdocs’ market share to be the highest in the industry at 15-17 percent and 13 percent respectively.
