Convergys addressed the media in a roundtable yesterday to talk about the acquisition of Stream, a leading global BPO service provider with a workforce of over 40,000 employees spread across approximately 56 service centers in 22 countries, including India. Addressing the media, Mr. Hanumant Talwar - MD and Country Manager, Convergys India and UK stated that the acquisition of $820 million in cash of Stream Global Services by Cincinnati, Ohio-based Convergys would create a global customer management services company with combined revenues of about $3 billion.

Convergys Corporation, a global leader in customer management, today announced that it has completed its acquisition of Stream Global Services, Inc. The addition of Stream will strengthen Convergys’ position as the leading U.S. provider in the $55 billion outsourced customer management services industry. It expands the company’s geographic footprint and capabilities. 
Convergys now has 125,000 employees working out of more than 150 locations in 31 countries, speaking 47 languages. Stream’s complementary client portfolio will also diversify Convergys’ client base through the addition of leading technology, entertainment, and communications clients.
