Autodesk'sTinkerplay App to Make 3D Design and 3D Printing Fun

Autodesk launched Tinkerplay, a free app designed for kids of all ages that introduces creative play through 3D design and 3D printing.
The Tinkerplay app is based on the popular Modio app, which Autodesk previously acquired, and will join the Tinkercad family of products. The Tinkerplay app allows users to design and customize characters and creatures digitally with the option to 3D print afterwards. The 3D printed parts can also be snapped together for dynamic play. With this launch, new parts, features and functionality have been added to make the world of 3D design simple, fun and engaging.

Autodesk University Extension (AUx) receives overwhelming industry response

Autodesk concluded the first Indian edition of its global flagship event, Autodesk University held in Mumbai, India on December 19, 2013. The premier design industry forum witnessed over 900 attendees comprising customers, partners, students, creative evangelists, design and engineering professionals and educators from the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC), Media & Entertainment (M&E) and manufacturing industries.

Autodesk brings Autodesk University Extension (AUx) to India

Autodesk, a company in 3D design software announced the launch of Autodesk University Extension (AUx) in India. AUx is a part of the annual Autodesk University (AU) conference, held in Las Vegas every year and is the world’s largest learning and networking event for Autodesk product users. The first ever of AUx in India will be held on Dec. 19, 2013 at The Grand Hyatt, Santacruz, Mumbai. The daylong event will showcase technologies of the future from the Autodesk portfolio and also demonstrate novel applications of design technology by leading design and engineering professionals, animators, visual artists, architects and filmmakers.

Jurong Consultants collaborates with Autodesk to Implement BIM services

Autodesk is collaborating with Jurong Consultants (India) to enable full Building Information Modelling (BIM) services delivery out of their Indian office in Bengaluru. Jurong Consultants is synonymous with Singapore’s industrialization efforts and specializes in consulting services.  Autodesk will provide Autodesk Building Design Suite software to help Jurong Consultants adopt BIM for its projects worldwide and in India. Jurong Consultants (India) is a member of Jurong International.
Jurong Consultants are creating a design center as a means of enhancing their multidisciplinary service delivery through BIM. The company decided to adopt Autodesk Revit software as it provides a comprehensive workflow- based solution as part of Autodesk Building Design Suite. Revit is Autodesk’s industry leading BIM software, and includes features for architectural design, MEP, structural engineering and construction.

Autodesk offers tech support to preserving cultural heritage

Today at the INK Conference, Autodesk showcased novel applications of its latest technology for reality capture. Autodesk ReCap is a family of software and services to create intelligent 3D data from captured photos and laser scans.  ReCap makes it easy to clean, organize and visualize massive datasets captured from reality.

Autodesk announced that Amar Hanspal, who is senior vice president, Platform Solutions and Emerging Business at Autodesk, will be one of the key speakers at the INK Conference 2013 to be held at Kochi from Oct 25-27.  Showcasing Autodesk`s leadership in 3D design and engineering, Amar will demystify the exciting yet arcane world of 3D design technology for 3D enthusiasts, design evangelists.
