Fitpass launches its services in India: Grab your pass to a fitter lifestyle now

Do you wish all your obstacles to fitness could magically disappear?  Wouldn’t you love the freedom to go to the gym close to home on weekends and workout at the gym next to your office on weekdays? Wouldn’t you like to save on your expenditure to get fit? If all of this has always sounded like wishful thinking, you’re about to be proved wrong as Fitpass is here to break all the barriers to fitness for you!

Fitpass has revolutionalised fitness accessibility by giving its users the ability to freely workout across 1,000+ gyms and fitness studios in the city with more than 100,000 daily workout options to choose from. From Pilates, Zumba, yoga, spinning to boot camp, kickboxing and aerobics, you can workout how you want, when you want and where you want.

Available on web, iOS and Android, Fitpass is making fitness accessible to the Indian consumer besides removing the traditional monotony associated with working out. Priced at only Rs. 999 per month, it is not only more cost-effective than an average gym membership but also gives users the flexibility and convenience to workout anywhere, anytime.

Speaking on the launch of Fitpass, Mr. Akshay said, “Fitness consciousness is rapidly increasing. Toady, Gyms is a more searched word on Google than Bollywood. India wants to get fit but there is a lot of friction that prevents us from it - price, convenience, fixed schedules, long term contracts and lack of standardisation of services. Fitpass is using technology to remove the prevailing market inefficiencies and make fitness super accessible to the Indian consumer.”

Mr. Verma added, “Most importantly, we are helping gyms and fitness studios to increase their utilization rates. It is important to understand the dynamics of the fitness services industry that is highly unorganized. As India is getting richer, it’s getting unhealthier. Unlike the west, we don’t have many outdoor/alternative options to gyms where we can workout, like cycling tracks, sports facilities, etc. so gyms and studios are essential for the Indian ecosystem. There are several technology-led interventions that we have in the pipeline to enhance customer experience and to enhance profit margins for service providers. Like we say, “its time to move from food tech to fit-tech”.

Fitpass also has 6 proprietary products aptly named after the most common fitness goals - Six Pack Abs, Sexy Calves, Dolay Sholay, 36-24-36, Pecs of Steel and Bikini Bod. With each of these products, customers get a curated diet plan and workout guide to further help them achieve their fitness goals.

Conceptualised in January 2015 and launched in June the same year, Fitpass is currently based out of and operational in Delhi-NCR. Bolstered by a team with the strongest pedigree of Oxford, Columbia, IIT, St. Stephen's and Delhi University, with its teeth cut in UBS Investment Bank, McKinsey, the World Bank, Zomato, Grofers, Fitpass is bringing in the age of 'fit-tech' in India.
