NTUC FairPrice’s 'Living Lab' Supermarket Deploys Manthan's TargetOne for in-store Personalization

Manthan, a leader in advanced analytics and artificial intelligence based intuitive solutions for retail and consumer businesses around the world has partnered NTUC FairPrice to enhance customer engagement at the newly opened FairPrice supermarket located at SingPost Centre in Singapore. What Singapore’s favorite retailer calls the “living lab” store, brings together the most advanced retail technologies to revolutionize the grocery shopping experience.

Custom Promotions and Shopping Assistance - Customers visiting the supermarket receive customized offers and promotions through the “FairPrice@SingPost” mobile app. Offers are pushed to the app based on customer preferences and affinity to brands and products. The store leverages Visible Light Communication technology (VLC) to communicate with the mobile app via the customer’s smartphone camera. This technology enables customer tracking and seamlessly interacts with Manthan's TargetOne in real-time. The advanced analytics platform sends out customized promotion to each customer driving better conversion and basket expansion.

Manthan’s TargetOne platform enables a whole new localized, in-store shopping experience for customers and assists them in staying updated with relevant offers on their favourite brands and products while at home and getting new and interesting product suggestions in real time when browsing in an aisle. It also guides shoppers to products and offers in areas of the store they have not frequented in recent visits and generally tend to miss out. This in turn helps the retailer to provide a more enriching shopping experience for its customers.

Valued Relationship -

“FairPrice is here to make lives better and working with Manthan allows us to harness big data machine learning analytics to provide a more personalized and enriching shopping experience for our customers,” said Mr. Cheum Chee Leong, Chief Information Officer, NTUC FairPrice.

“FairPrice is an innovator in the retail space and we appreciate the opportunity to support the growth of the company through our cutting-edge solutions,” said Madhu Attada, VP Delivery, Manthan

Manthan’s analytics-based personalization solutions drive enhanced customer engagement at some of the leading retailers across the globe. Its personalization-as-a-service capability enables a range of channels, such as kiosks within the stores, clientele apps, retailer mobile apps, websites and E-commerce applications to display contextually personalized content.

“Retailers can easily integrate Manthan’s personalization APIs across customer touch points to significantly improve customer engagement and drive overall sales,” said Amit Rohatgi, Director Product Management, Manthan.
