Amazon’s recently concluded flagship global shopping extravaganza Prime Day held between July 10th and July 11th, 2017 helped Global Selling Indian sellers witness a remarkable growth of close to 100% y-o-y in sales. The Prime Day 2017 this year helped thousands of Indian sellers selling globally under Amazon’s Global Selling Program to boost their revenues tremendously. The total selection saw a rise of over 90% and the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) seller count also witnessed over 100% increase as compared to last year. Indian Global Sellers offered amazing discounts to millions of customers across the globe and sold tens of thousands of products within 30 hours through Prime Day!
Launched in 2015, Prime Day provides Indian sellers with a great platform to delight global customers with wide selection, low prices and a reliable and trustworthy shopping experience. Thousands of Indian sellers leveraged Amazon’s fulfilment services to ensure faster delivery to prime customers and scaled their business multifold within a short span of time during the sale. For many sellers Prime Day 2017 was the biggest day for their business and they witnessed huge spikes in their daily sales in a matter of few hours.
