In line with its vision to create transformative opportunities for Indian sellers to take their ‘Made in India’ products across the globe, Amazon launched its Global Selling Program with a few hundred sellers in May 2015. The program has expanded phenomenally within two years and currently has over 23,000 sellers selling over 65 million products to millions of active customers through 10 global Amazon marketplaces. To smoothen the selling experience for SMBs and enable sellers familiarize themselves with the tastes & preferences of the local country and to launch relevant selection, Amazon’s global teams help sellers understand the demand patterns in various countries. The team gives guidance on how sellers can improve discoverability of their products on each marketplace. Amazon also has supporting content on its website on different international tax and custom processes to help sellers understand the processes clearly.
