Jugnoo launches Meals in Gurugram

Fostered by its successful tryst in Chandigarh and Jaipur, Jugnoo now forays into the financial and tech hub of Haryana, Gurugram, with its ‘ready to eat’ food delivery service. Owing its genesis to Jugnoo’s versatile disposition, it is an on-demand meal service that garnered immense appreciation post its initial launch in August 2016.

Jugnoo customers based in Gurugram can now choose from a host of different delicacies that will be prepared in its special in-house kitchen. All meals will be prepared, packaged and delivered by Jugnoo’s team.

Talking about its expansion plans, Nitish Singh, CFO Jugnoo who is heading Fresh and Meals verticals said, “After having launched the service in Chandigarh and Jaipur, venturing into Gurugram was quick and easy, especially to end the year with optimism. Additionally, factoring in the improving auto situation in the city, the idea is to keep auto drivers profitably engaged. Also, as a huge number of people migrate for work into the city from different parts of the country, they find it difficult to order homely food at affordable rates. We are trying to bridge this gap for them.”

A delight for food lovers, Jugnoo customers can order lip smacking delicacies directly from the hearth during lunch and dinner. Timings have been kept very flexible – 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm for Lunch and 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm for Dinner. To avail of this first of its kind initiative, customers can transact in a completely cash-free way, using their digital wallets to pay the Jugnoo delivery guy. Post the demonetization drive, the company witnessed over 100% spike in digital payment based transactions.

“Our menu is daily changing, so it gives variety to people who order on regular basis. We also give our customers an option to choose their delivery slot so that they can get warm food delivered to their doorsteps, whenever they want to eat. At Jugnoo, we emphasize on keeping the food less spicy and oily, making it a healthier option for people, who order their meals daily.” Nitish added.

For this recently launched meal service, the company is receiving up to 100 orders per day. Jugnoo’s aim is to fulfill up to 500 orders per day in a month.
