iSPIRT (Indian Software Product Industry Roundtable – an independent think tank promoting software product ecosystem) and Hyderabad4Innovation, announced Innofest - An event celebrating Innovation and a foundation for products and entrepreneurship; in Hyderabad. Innofest after a very successful first stint in Bengaluru earlier this year, now comes to Hyderabad and will be held on 21st November 2015 at the IIIT – H / T-Hub campus. T-Hub at IIIT - H is the largest startup incubator in the country.
InnoFest is conceptualized to celebrate innovative ideas/prototypes/projects in technology and to provide a solid support system to the innovations ecosystem at the grass roots. The event is an attempt to uncover and showcase new ideas, innovations and creative projects from across the spectrum such as startups, large companies, R&D groups, research labs, academic institutions and grass-root innovations. Confirmed speakers for Innofest include Mr. TV Mohandas Pai, Mr. Mohit Saxena Co-founder and CTO at InMobi) and Mr. Phaniindra Sama Founder of Redbus amongst others.
Hyderabad is the second city to host InnoFest which is supported by Progress and is jointly organized by Organized by iSpirit jointly with Hyderabad4Innovation (that includes Directors of IIIT-H, BITS, IIT & ISB). With senior leaders GV Prasad of Dr.Reddys, Dr.GNRao of LVPEI, Mohan das Pai, Padmasri Dr.Prahlada and jay Pullur (Founder, pramati) as patrons for the fest.
InnoFest will have various programs like MakerSpace, Product Zone, Hall of Fame, Townhall, Young Innovators Zone and eminent speakers across a galaxy of disciplines including startups, research labs, academia, college projects, grassroot innovation and more. The event is an initiative to boost the nascent Maker’s Movement in the country. Unlike any other startup event, Innofest will have several makers’ events such as, Maker Showcase, Rapid hacking Challenges etc. Apart from these, the event will also have sessions from prominent startup founders, discussions with industry thought leaders, mentors and interactive tech/art experience stalls.
Sharad Sharma, Co-Founder iSPIRT said, “Innofest was first organized in Bengaluru by iSPIRT, where we had about 1200 delegates and 150 makers. The event featured rpoducts showcase, young innovators zone, and interactive ‘townhall’ sessions with the founders of high-profile startups such as Practo, InMobi, RedBus, Portea Medical, FreeCharge and PayTM. “
